Enrollment Agreement
I understand and agree that this is my enrollment agreement and contract. In accepting this contract I am obligating myself to pay for the program in full, before commencement of said course and agree to participate in the course curriculum.
The facilities and programs offered by Vancouver Academy of Dramatic Arts Ltd have been designed to provide the optimum level of beneficial teaching and enjoyment without compromising the health and safety of the students. I understand that the facilities and equipment must be used in the proper manner in order to reduce the risk of injury. I acknowledge the existence and the need for certain rules concerning conduct and use of the facilities and I will undertake to read and abide by those rules. In consideration of my being permitted to become a student of VADA, I myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, successors and assigns, do hereby release and forever discharge , waive and save harmless, protect and keep indemnified, VADA Ltd. and its respective agents, employees and representatives from and against any and all kinds of actions, claims cost, expenses and demands in respect to death, injury, loss or damage to my person or property however caused and arising out of my being permitted to attend all in any way prior to, during or subsequent to programs and/or activities. I understand that my name and personal identification information, the name of my program of study, and the amount of tuition I paid may be forwarded to the Private Career Training Institutions Agency for the purpose of Information & Protection of Privacy Act. For more information about the collection, use and disclosure of this information, visit the Agency's website www.pctia.bc.ca. As a student, I acknowledge that the tuition fees may increase from time to time upon the expiry of my current registration. I understand that written notice must be provided to VADA for any withdrawal from courses or classes and that any refunded tuition amount will be determined according to the PCTIA refund policy within 30 days the written notice is received. I understand that any student who misses two classes for reasons other then professional acting work will be considered a drop-out, no refund will be issued and no further invitations to attend class will be extended. That includes all workshops, guest speakers, free seminars, and performance events.
Refund Policy
Section 2 PCTIA Bylaws Refund before the program starts:
(a) If written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution, or student less than seven (7) calendar days after the contract is made, and before the start of a program of study, the institution may retain the lesser of 10% of the total fees due under contract or 100$.
(b) Subject to section (2) (a), if written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution, or student thirty (30) calendar days or more before the start of the program of study, the institution may retain 10% if the total fees under contract.
(c) Subject to section (2) (a) If written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution, or student less then thirty (30) calendar days before the start of the program of study, the institution may retain 20% if the total fees under contract.
Section 3 PCTIA Bylaws Refund after the program starts:
(a) If written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution, or student or a student is dismissed within 10% of the program of study, the institution may retain 30% of the total fee due under contract.
(b) Subject to subsection (3) (a), if written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution or student, or a student is dismissed, within 30% of the program of study's duration, the institute may retain 50% of the total fees due under the contract.
(c) If a student withdraws or is dismissed after 30% of the program of study's duration, no refund is required.
