Featured Alumni: Madison Smith
With no previous training or experience Madison Smith was a clean pallet who was ready and willing to receive 6 intensive months of Actor training.
Madison came to the Vancouver Academy of Dramatic Arts from Kelowna BC in March of 2011.
Before that Madison understood the idea of “ensemble” work while he played at on the College baseball team for the Okanangan College. This team work helped him excel in the field of Acting at VADA. “The hardest worker with great focus. A go-getter. This will be a valuable asset in the industry” Daniel Boileau, Artistic Director. This has clearly paid off for Madison with his recent trail of bookings!
In the past month Madison has booked 2 Professional gigs. The first was on a Lifetime MOW called “A Mother’s Nightmare.” The audition story is a little bizarre. A friend of his contacted him about a radio add they heard in Kelowna, the film was shot there, about a Casting Call. Madison’s friend called him and told him to audition. He did, put the audition on tape, sent it away, and was in Kelowna shooting his close-up 3 days after!
Madison’s second booking was just released. “Chupacabra Vs. The Alamo” is an MOW that is currently shooting. Madison plays the role of Darius.
VADA Could not be happier for Madison Smith and his upcoming roller coaster of success!!
